The Cancer Foundation For Life® Investigation of the Effects of Exercise during Chemotherapy
Cancer Foundation For Life®, the University of Texas at Tyler, Baylor Research Center, and Texas Oncology-Tyler are collaborating on a randomized 2-year study called “The Effect of Exercise during Adjuvant Chemotherapy for Breast Cancer Patients.” This innovative study is to determine the effects of exercising the day chemotherapy is administered on treatment side effects, dose intensity of chemotherapy, quality of life and exercise adherence. UT Tyler is providing research protocol guidance and statistical analysis for Baylor Sammons Cancer Center and Texas Oncology-Tyler. Research coordinators collect data at two sites including the Baylor Sammons Cancer and Texas Oncology-Tyler.
The study is sponsored by Cancer Foundation For Life® and funded by the Baylor Research Institute and a grant from a private family foundation.
